This week brought some surprising new acquisitions and partnerships that are sure to change how agencies are able to serve clients moving forward. Let’s dive in.

77 Ventures Creative

77 Ventures Creative’s partner, Wyoming Whiskey, has been acquired by ultra-premium spirits producer Edrington. The premium American whiskey brand has been supported by 77 Ventures Creative’s creative direction and design for over 10 years.

Alpha IR Group

Alpha IR Group, a leading independent consultancy that protects, enhances and builds investments for brands, formed the Alpha Advisory Group. The advisory, founded by Chris Hodges, is comprised of veterans from Wall Street, investor relations and corporate communications, and aims to help C-suite leaders build and enhance their reputations.

Escalent

Analytics and advisory firm Escalent acquired C Space and Hall & Partners from Omnicom Group. The three agencies are now partnering to serve as a partner to the world’s leading companies, with deep expertise across brands, customers and products.

Hispanic Marketing Council

Molson Coors was awarded the 2023 marketer of the year honor by the Hispanic Marketing Council. The award was based on the company’s demonstrated commitment to multicultural marketing and its allocated spending commensurate with the Hispanic opportunity.

Horizon Sports & Experiences

Horizon Sports & Experiences and InsideOut Sports & Entertainment teamed up to create and produce the Pickleball Slam, featuring John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick and Michael Chang competing for a $1 million purse. The event peaked with 796,000 viewers and created substantial social buzz with nearly 4,000 posts about it on social media.

The Martin Agency

The Martin Agency was named agency of record for UScellular. The agency has been given a media spend of more than $100 million and will work to accelerate a “Built for U.S.” brand campaign to broaden awareness and influence.

Mono

Mono was chosen to lead a brand refresh for Power Home Remodeling. The refresh will include brand positioning, foundational materials, a new website and a new brand book.

MullenLowe and Carmichael Lynch Media

MullenLowe and Carmichael Lynch Media partnered on a new client win with Hi-Chew. MullenLowe was tapped to lead social analytics and improvements, while Carmichael Lynch Media was selected to focus on growing brand awareness and expanding the brand’s consumer base.

Stagwell

Stagwell launched SmartAssets, a new AI-powered SaaS asset management platform. As the winner of the agency’s fifth annual innovation competition, the platform will receive $1 million in funding to start.
